Nicole was a mother, a daughter, a sister and a friend – now she’s also a cancer statistic.

Nicole was a single mom working a full time job with only one goal in mind- to give her baby the best life she could and watch him grow into a happy, healthy young man. On April 30, 2018 her life was turned upside down when she visited the ER with severe stomach pain.

Nicole was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that had metastasized to her liver.

She fought an incredibly hard battle, but sadly after nearly three years of fighting, Nicole lost her battle with cancer on Jan 1, 2021.  Nicole’s passing hit hard and, for me, really highlighted the divide between medical and natural treatments.

I am running 160 kms – from Campbell River to Nanaimo, BC.

The goal is to raise awareness and money for people who want to take a holistic approach to their cancer treatment but can not afford to pay out of pocket for private treatment centres.  The money raised will make a direct impact for a family (or families) who are still fighting their battle.

Donate To The Cause

It’s too late for Nicole but, sadly, we all know someone who is still fighting their battle.  Your donation will go towards paying for alternative care that is desperately needed, but not covered by BC Medical.

Donations can be made through PayPal (by clicking the “donate now” button below) or by e-transfer to donate@thecocorun.ca.

Not in a position to donate right now? You can support The CoCo Run by using this link when you shop on Amazon.  There is no extra cost to you, but the commission earned will help cover the expenses associated with this fundraiser.  Our goal is to keep 100% of the money donated going directly to the families who need it.
